Translation Memory (TM)

A database of previously translated sentence pairs used to enforce consistency across a dossier and across studies.

What it means

TM stores source-target segment pairs and reuses them for repeated content. In regulated translation, TM is the mechanism that keeps ICF, protocol synopsis, and IB summaries aligned across amendments and across countries.

Why it matters for LATAM submissions

Without a governed TM, every amendment risks reintroducing terminology drift that a reviewer flagged in a prior cycle.
