INVIMA

Colombia's National Food and Drug Surveillance Institute, responsible for clinical trial and product registration review.

What it means

INVIMA (Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos) is Colombia's national health regulator. It reviews clinical trial authorizations and registration dossiers for medicines, biologics, medical devices, and cosmetics. Spanish translations are required for all regulatory documents.

Why it matters for LATAM submissions

Colombia is a top-three LATAM clinical trial market. INVIMA references Resolución 2378 for clinical trial authorization requirements, and the agency expects locally appropriate Spanish usage.
